    Service Transition Management is all about balancing the needs of the business against the risks of impacting existing services. Using well-defined and proven ITIL Service Transition processes, our Programme Managers and Service Managers can meet key client objectives to deliver on time, with quality assurance, whilst reducing development costs and ultimately reducing the Total Cost of Ownership.

    We manage the relationship between the Business and all external Suppliers to ensure services are transitioned in a timely and effective manner, providing professional consultancy, technical assurance and management of all technical cutover activities.

    We provide a full management service for a Programme, Project or Portfolio including setting up a Project Support Office (PSO). Economies of scale can be achieved through the concentration of resources with particular expertise and can be applied across the range of programmes and projects. This could extend to coaching and mentoring appropriate staff engaged on the programmes and projects.

    We can build a communications hub to act as a conduit for researching, filtering and circulation of relevant information to stakeholders. We also provide a centralised configuration management function that provides a mechanism for the tracking, recording and safe storage of information and programme / project assets, as well as using the expertise within the office to support staff on their programmes and projects and providing audits of process and tools to ensure they are used appropriately and to best effect, advising on training needs.

    Caplon is able to train your personnel to understand the needs of a PSO in terms of the processes and procedures and the most effective way of defining and using the appropriate processes and tools to manage and run an effective PSO.
